Put your skills into practice! Develop timing, control, confidence and technique through structured,
supervised martial arts sparring.
Our Children's Sparring classes are designed for students aged 7–15 who want to develop their
martial arts skills and gain experience applying their techniques in a controlled training
environment.
Sparring is an important part of martial arts development. It gives students the opportunity to
practise their techniques against a moving partner, develop their reactions and learn how to make
decisions under pressure.
Sessions focus on developing timing, distance, movement, defensive awareness, combinations,
accuracy and control. Students learn how to apply their skills effectively while understanding the
importance of respect, sportsmanship and looking after their training partners.
All sparring activities are supervised by our experienced instructors, with an emphasis on
appropriate control, safety and progression. Students are guided according to their age, experience
and ability, with suitable protective equipment and clear expectations throughout.
Sparring also helps develop confidence, resilience, concentration and the ability to stay calm and
focused when faced with a challenge.
Whether students are training for personal development, improving their martial arts ability or
working towards competition, these sessions provide a valuable opportunity to take their training
further.
